Travis is an athletic compliance administrator at an NCAA Division I institution, with prior experience in compliance and academic administration at a private liberal arts institution at the NCAA Division II level. Travis founded Higher Ed Athletics, a media outlet and consulting company focused on higher education issues in intercollegiate athletics. Higher Ed Athletics hosts a podcast that interviews athletic directors and college presidents, and produces feasibility reports and case studies on higher education issues that may impact an institution. Travis is an expert in the NCAA membership requirements for each division and thoroughly understands the expectations in the reclassification process that may be part of a campus merger. Travis studies enrollment figures at NCAA and NAIA institutions and analyzes case studies on past institutional closures and the options for those institutions.
